3 Year old Gift Ideas

At age 3 children's interests and personality really start to shine through.  If you are looking for gifts that are appropriate for children aged 3 take a look at this list.

• Dress up box.  You could buy a special ready made outfit such as a superhero and give that as a gift. But I prefer to get a box and fill it with an eclectic mix of clothes, scarves, hats and jewelry that the child can use in what ever silly way he or she likes.
• Simple board games such as dominos, memory or other games that state that children from 3 years will be able to play.
• Tricycles or balance bikes
• Puzzles
• Simple musical instruments

• Books are great at all ages.  Around 3 years of age children will enjoy imaginative stories. Think about traditional stories such as The 3 Little Pigs, Goldilocks and The 3 Bears and Jack and the Beanstalk. Children enjoy reading these stories over and over again and will also love to act the story out as a play.
• Set of textas or crayons is a great gift for 3 year olds.  You could also make a craft box and include glue, safety scissors and a range of crafty items to cut and stick eg glitter, colored paper, cellophane, wool, pipe cleaners, paddle sticks and anything else you can find.
• Personalized name stickers and fabric labels ready to label his or her belongings for preschool.

• Pretend hair dressing set with brush, comb, rollers and hairdryer
• Dolls, doll pram or high chair for the doll
• Jewelry box and pretend jewelry, girls love dressing up with necklaces and bangles
